Visit Merapi (visitmerapi.com) is an information and enquiry website for Mount Merapi jeep tours from Yogyakarta. This page explains what data we receive, what it is used for, and your choices. It is short on purpose, because the site collects very little.

What we receive

We only receive what you choose to send when you ask about or book a tour:

• Through WhatsApp. When you tap a WhatsApp button or send the enquiry form, your browser opens WhatsApp with a pre-filled message (for example the tour name). Nothing is sent until you press send. The name, WhatsApp number, dates, group size and pickup point you write reach us in WhatsApp, not on this website’s server.
• Through the contact page. Anything you write on the contact page is used only to answer you.

The site has no user accounts, no comments and no online payment, so we do not store card, bank or password data from visitors.

What we use it for

Only to reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote and arrange the trip with the local operator. To run your booking we may pass the details needed (for example names, group size, date, pickup point) to the operator or driver assigned to it. We do not sell your data and do not use it for third-party advertising.

Cookies and analytics

At the moment this site does not use analytics tools, advertising pixels or tracking cookies. WordPress only sets technical cookies for site administrators logging in; ordinary visitors never log in. The web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, time, page requested) for security and troubleshooting.

If we add analytics or ads later, this page will be updated first and the date above will change.

Third parties

WhatsApp buttons take you to WhatsApp, which has its own privacy policy (WhatsApp/Meta). Outside links, such as information sources, are run by other parties and we do not control their privacy practices.

Retention and your rights

WhatsApp conversations are kept while they are relevant to serving a booking and handling complaints. You can ask us to delete the conversation or data you sent, to send you a copy, or to correct it, by contacting us on WhatsApp or through the contact page. We will reply as soon as we can after receiving your request.

Children

This site is meant for adults arranging a trip. If you book for a group that includes children, details about the children should be sent by a parent or guardian.
